LCI's Ministries Pastoral Counseling is available by appointment. Senior Pastor - Rev. Dr. Luther Symons Finding your spiritual gifts - the ELCA offers an online self-assessment for finding your spiritual gifts. What are your gifts? Pastoral acts -- baptisms, weddings, funerals and memorials -- are performed at the church after consultation with one of the pastors. All inquiries regarding pastoral acts should be directed to the church office for general information and referral to the appropriate pastor for counseling and final arrangements. Visitation to the sick -- pre-surgery, recovery, chronically ill, dying -- is available and shared by the pastoral staff. Please request a pastoral visit through the church office. In case of a medical emergency outside of weekly office hours, the pastors may be contacted by phone at home. Crisis intervention counseling is offered to
members who find themselves facing a personal or interpersonal crisis and need help with
formulating a plan to restore harmony. The church office will assist you in
making contact with a pastor. Incarnation Friends visitation is a member-to-member "friendly visitor" program which supplements pastoral and deacon visits. If you are, or know of, a member who is alone or confined and would appreciate being visited by another member, notify the church office. The prayer chain is a confidential intercessory prayer ministry organized by the Incarnation Women of the ELCA. Many whose names are on the prayer chain are ill; some have difficult personal situations. Whatever the need, these women stand ready to respond to your need by praying that healing, comfort, hope, peace, strength, courage, guidance, protection, or blessing in accordance with God's will, may be yours in your time of need. A prayer list of non-confidential names is published weekly in the bulletin for prayer support from the congregation at large. Contact the church office to have a name placed on either the prayer chain or published prayer list. A Health Ministry program, reminding us of the connection between body, mind, and spirit in achieving "whole person health", is available. This program includes educational classes and activities promoting wellness and illness prevention, personal health counseling, referrals, and patient health care advocacy through the health care system. |
