God made a covenant with His people that is transmitted down through the descendants of Abraham.  They are to obey Him by keeping His law that was revealed through Moses on Mount Sinai (center of the Window) and inscribed on two large stone tablets, located just above the mountain.  The children of Israel, just below the mount, respond by acknowledging and declaring, "God is King".
