This window illustrates the pain of slavery of God's chosen people and their aspirations for eventual freedom.  At the base of the window we view a crown and image of the conquering kings who tried to force false religion on Israel.   In the center is a chain that denotes the bondage they must endure, but the new Zion is shown by praying hands and the path up the hill to the exulted city, symbolizing their faith and hope that a new Jerusalem will emerge.
