Apostles and Luther

This window is dedicated to the Apostles and to Martin Luther, the great reformer.  The sword, the symbol often assigned to St. Paul, the great missionary to the Gentiles, appears in the lower right corner.  Just above and to the left is an eagle, symbol of St. John, author of the fourth Gospel.  The keys at the center of the panel represent St. Peter and the Office of the Keys with which he was entrusted.  At the top is a fortress to remind us of Martin Luther's magnificent hymn and testimony to our faith, "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God".
